Thalli yellowish to greenish brown in colour grows up to 11-17cm in height. Thalli broad ribbon like and regularly dichotomously branched. Thalli attached to the substratum by a small discoid base. Branches uniform breadth, dichotomy angles between the branches acute or rounded and acute or subacute at apices. Margin of thalli smooth and possessing small ascending projections.
In cross section, medulla single layer with rectangular cells measures 50-70 µm length and of 60-90 µm breadth. Antheridia are aggregated in sori, covered by a thin indusium. Antheridia subcylindrical, 60-70 µm in length and 15-30 µm in breadth. Antheridia composed of several tiers of loculi, and borne on a single stalk cell 10-15 µm in length.
