    Thalli fairly large, widely spread; occur in dense colonies on the substratum by stolons with the help of branched colourless rhizoids, 100–320 µm thick. Stolons terete, branched sparsely 1-2 mm thick. Assimilators short stipitate, terete 2–5.5 mm long. Assimilator dichotomously branched and spirally twisted and turns without midrib, relatively stiff, with markedly serrate margins, yellowish dark green, 2-3.5 mm broad and 3-5.5 cm long. Apex of the assimilator rounded.
