Trachelomonas acanthostoma A. Stokes 1887

    Lorica sub-spherical to broadly ovoid with yellowish to dark reddish brown colour. Lorica measures 28-36 µm long and 26-34 µm broad. Lorica surface punctuate; apical pore surrounded by a thickened rim and it surrounded by one or two rows of short blunt spine; chloroplasts numerous and discoid.
