Phacus onyx Pochmann 1942

    Cells rounded to ovoid and asymmetrical 28–42 μm long and, 17–24 μm broad. Anterior end narrowly rounded and posterior end broader and slightly flat with short, more or less curved tail. Cell with entire or notched margin; pellicle longitudinally striated; Chloroplast numerous and discoid; paramylum 1–2 and discoid.
