Cell cylindrical, elongated mostly twisted and elliptical in cross-section, cells measure, 110-142 μm long, 20-28 μm broad. Anterior end rounded or obliquely truncated; posterior end long, pointed and straight or slightly inclined, measures 16-26 μm long. Cells flat and twisted, with longitudinal groove; chloroplasts numerous and discoid; pyrenoid absent; paramylon bodies two, elliptical or rod shaped.
