    Colony consists of 4-8-16 or more cells and attached to each other at dorsal surface. Cells crescent to sickle shaped with gradually tapered forming sharply pointed apices. Cells measure 18-37 μm in length and 5-9 μm in breadth. Cells show single parietal chloroplast with a pyrenoid.
