    Colonies elliptical with broad rounded apex or oblong consists of 4-8 cells covered by hyaline gelatinous envelope. Cells more or less crescent to sickle shaped with one side convex and the other concave with pointed ends. Cells spirally arranged within envelope, Cells measure 10-18 μm in length and 4-7 μm in breadth, colonies 35-55 μm in length and 23-34 μm in breadth.


Ecology

Thalli collected as plankton from Pond and Lakes.
