    Cells small, as broad as long or slightly broader than long; cells deeply constricted, sinus open and acute angled. Cells measure 15-28 μm length, 15-26 μm breadth and isthmus 4-6 μm broad. Semicells elliptic-lanceolate, lateral angles attenuate/mamillated, cell wall smooth. Semicells in apical view 3-4 angular with more or less concave sides and attenuate/mamillated angles.


Ecology

Benthos and tychoplankton of acidic, oligotrophic water bodies.
