Cells large size narrow and forming chains of short filaments, usually of up to 4 cells in length. Semicell with single distinct basal swelling followed by a series of undulations and attenuated towards the poles. Apex expanded and crowned with a ring of 10-12 distinct conical tubercles. Cells measure 290–330 μm in length and 33-48 μm in breadth.
Ecology
Free floating freshwater alga occurs in Lakes and Ponds.
