Cells medium size, about 1.3 times longer than broad; cells deeply constricted in the middle, with a linear sinus widened at the extremity; Semi cells trilobed, lateral lobes round-ovate with rounded large sharp granules irregularly arranged, polar lobe elongate-square, apex convex-truncated irregularly arranged with sharp granules in a ring; 3 or 4granules within a ring in the middle of the sites. Cells measure 39-48µm long and 31-39µm broad, isthmus 7-9.5µm wide.
Ecology
Freshwater plankton and prefers Oligo-mesotrophic water bodies.
