Cells small, elongate rectangular in shape, constricted at isthmus, sinus closed, apex truncated with retuse notch, cell wall undulated, undulation in the middle of the semi cell not prominent; undulation in the basal lobe is well marked; Cell wall without any ornamentation. Cells measure 25 µm - 33 µm long, 14µm -18µm broad, 3-6.5 µm broad at isthmus.
Ecology
Freshwater plankton and prefers mesotrophic water bodies.
