Cells medium size, longer than broad; cells deeply constricted, sinus linear, closed for the greater part. Cell measures 22-32 μm length, 19-26 μm breadth Semicells pyramidal, cell wall smooth, entire with straight to concave sides, basal angles papillate, other angles broadly rounded.
Ecology
Epiphytic and it prefers oligo-mesotrophic water bodies.
