Cells large size, about 1.5 times longer than broad measures 60–68 μm in length and 47–52 μm in breadth. Cells deeply constricted at the center and sinus narrowly linear or slightly opened at the proximal end, isthmus is 16–21 µm. Semicell semi-elliptical shape and cell wall densely punctate. Semicells circular in lateral view and elliptical in vertical view.
Ecology
Thalli collected as plankton from Ponds and Lakes.
