Cells large size as long as the breadth; cells measure 68–74 µm length and 69–76 µm breadth. Cells deeply constricted, sinus open outward but acuminate at proximal side, isthmus 21–27 µm. Semicells obovate to rhomboidal, lateral angles somewhat acutely rounded with truncated apex, punctate cell wall.
Ecology
Thalli collected as plankton from Pond at Atchankulam-Kottar, Mantharam Puthoor Pond, Agastheeswaram Taluk; Pond at Chemmuthal-Thodakulam, Thamirabarani River at Pacode, Vilavancode Taluk.
