Cell medium size, measures 47-58 μm length and 35-44 μm width. Cells deeply constricted, sinus closed, isthmus 16-20 μm. Semicells pyramid or trapeziform, truncated apex with 4-6 crenate and convex lateral margins with 6-8 crenate. Each crenations consist of bigranules and it arranged radially from the center. Vertical granulate ridges of 6-7 series present at the center. Semicells ovate-oblong in lateral view and elliptic-oblong, in vertical view.
Ecology
Thalli collected as plankton from slightly acidic freshwater bodies.
