Cosmarium bengalense W.B Turner 1892

    Cells medium size; nearly twice the length than width of the cells. Apices truncated or broadly rounded and cell wall smooth. Cells measure 67–79 μm length and 34–49 μm width. Cells with median constriction moderate and sinus linear and slightly open towards the outside, isthmus 16–18 µm. Semicells hexagonal and highly sinuate (undulated margins), tapering towards apex, semicells ovate- lanceolate in lateral view.
