    Cells larger in size 2.25 times as long as broad; cells measure 78-90 µm in length and 44-51 µm in breadth. Cells oblong to subcylindrical, slightly constricted at the center, sinus rounded notch, isthmus 36-40 µm in breadth. Semicells ovate or truncate with broad base and slightly rounded lower angles, lateral margins slightly convex and converging upwards with truncate rounded apex. Semicells circular in vertical view and puncated wall.


Ecology

Thalli collected as plankton and it prefers oligo-mesotrophic waters bodies.
